Why Herzliya Real Estate?
HISTORY & COMMUNITY
Herzliya, named after the founder and of modern Zionism, Theodor Herzl, was first founded in 1924 as a moshava, a farming community and has since developed into one of the most sought after and most expensive areas to live in.
The city located on the central coast of Israel north of Tel Aviv and south of Netanya, is today home to a mixed population of new immigrants, a large Anglo community and veteran residents counting about 85,000 inhabitants.
Herzliya is divided into Herzliya city, characterized by middle-class population and Herzliya Pituah, which is one of Israel’s most luxurious villa areas hosting many ambassadors and foreign diplomats and attracting many of the wealthiest families in the country.
Herzliya Pituah is set along a beautiful beach front boasting the Herzliya Marina port area, which began operating in 1995 and has since developed into a culinary and entertainment experience with many upmarket restaurants and cafes and the Arena state-of-the-art shopping center.
The city is known for its investment into education and is home to the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center, a private college which offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in government, business administration, law, computer science and other academic disciplines mostly taught in English by world renowned professors and lecturers.
EMPLOYMENT
The Herzliya Pituah industrial zone, is known for its concentration of high-tech companies representing one of the major high-tech centers in the country that provide work for a large percentage of the city’s residents, as well as, for residents of neighgoring parts of the country.
Many of the Israeli and global software and biotech companies are located in the Herzliya area including ComSoft Technologies, eWave, the Formula Group, Hewlett-Packard and HP Scitex, Horizon Semiconductors, IBM, Jacada, Matrix, Microsoft, Motorola, SAP Manage, Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, VCON Telecommunications and VocalTec Communications.
TRANSPORTATION
Located 15 minutes north of Tel Aviv, Herzliya is an ideal base, linking the city with the country’s main road, bus and train network with a direct connection of 40 minutes from Ben Gurion airport, 60 minutes from Jerusalem and 45 minutes from Haifa.
