Why Rishon Lezion real estate?

Rishon Lezion, which means the “First to Zion” was the first colony founded by the first wave of immigration, the first Aliyah, on July 31, 1882. Since then, the city which pioneered the zionist settlement, has grown to become one of the most developed cities in Israel. Today the fast-growing modern metropolis is the country’s fourth largest city with over 230,000 residents. Over the next 10 years, the population is expected to grow to 315,000 inhabitants.

Rishon Lezion’s population is the third youngest among Israeli cities after Jerusalem and Bnei Brak. About a third of the city’s residents are children and teenagers and 61.4 percent are youngsters and adults up to 40 years of age, while only about 7 percent are senior citizens aged over 70. There is a large immigrant community resident in the city coming from Europe and America making up 24 percent of the population, as well as immigrants from the former Soviet Union.

In the city, there are 23 elementary schools, 9 middle schools and 12 high schools. Rishon Lezion also has a College of Management with a population of 10,000 students. In March this year, Swedish home furniture chain Ikea opened its second branch in Rishon Lezion.

EMPLOYMENT

Rishon Lezion boast one of Israel’s three largest business centers with factories and workshops in the areas of wine, construction and commerce located at its two industrial zones. In recent years, more and more high technology companies are moving to the city providing ample work opportunities for residents.

Since Rishon Lezion is located in proximity to other big cities such as Tel Aviv, which can be reached within 20 to 30 minutes, it is also a commuter town for some residents working in other cities.

TRANSPORTATION

Rishon Lezion situated along the coastal highway, is located right in the center of the country, with easy road access to Tel Aviv’s commercial and industrial areas within 20 to 30 minutes and the country’s international airport within 20 minutes. Jerusalem is only 45 minutes away and it takes less than half an hour to reach the port of Ashdod.

The city has easy access to public transporations via bus and train services. There is a local train station to the south of the city center offering direct train connections to major cities across the country including Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Rosh Ha’ayin, Hod Hasharon and Kfar Saba.

      I have inherited an apartment in rishon lezion and am interested in selling it. It is a small apt. on ein hakore/herzl right near the park and center. I would like to have it appraised – it needs remodeling. I prefer to sell as is.
