Tel Aviv plans affordable housing program

The Tel Aviv-Jaffa city council is due to approve at a special meeting today criteria for establishing affordable housing projects in the city, on the basis of a report by councilman Arnon Giladi. Mayor Ron Huldai set up the Giladi committee during his first term as mayor. The plan proposes 80-sq.m. apartments for eligible young couples with children, at a cost up to NIS 420,000.
