Registration opens for a lottery of 4,000 discounted apartments Jerusalem, Yehud, Haifa, and beyond

Registration for the current significant “Apartment at a Discount” lottery began this morning and will end on January 21. Umm al-Fahm is included in the lottery for the first time, offering close to 700 discounted apartments. Over 700 apartments will be raffled in Ashkelon, with Beit Shemesh and Be’er Sheva on the list. About 20% of the apartments will be allocated to active reservists.

Registration for the Dira b’Hanacha (Apartment at a Discount) lottery opened this morning (Wednesday), offering 3,925 apartments in 15 localities across the country, including, for the first time, Umm al-Fahm, as well as Ofakim, Be’er Sheva, Haifa, Yehud Monosson, Jerusalem, Nof Hagalil, Nazareth, and more.

In this lottery, as in previous ones, each eligible participant can register for three cities and all the lotteries in those cities, with no priority given to the timing of registration during the registration period. As in past lotteries, about 20% of the apartments will be allocated to active reservists.

Eligibility certification can be issued now and will close on Thursday, January 9, 2025. After that date, no certifications will be issued until the end of the lottery registration on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Eligibility certifications can be issued online without needing a physical visit to offices through Alonim, Milgam, and Maof companies.

HOUSING LOTTERY ISRAEL

The cost of issuing an eligibility certification is NIS 200, valid for one year. Extending the validity of the certification costs NIS 50. The issuance process takes up to 10 days, except in exceptional cases. [Link to the registration site for lotteries].

Minister of Housing and Construction Yitzhak Goldknopf stated: “Today, on the eve of Hanukkah, we are opening another registration for the Apartment at a Discount program, allowing about 4,000 households to purchase their home at a significant discount across the country. The ministry is working tirelessly to expand the housing supply and address the needs of all populations in Israel, focusing on encouraging construction and development in diverse localities. In this lottery, we maintain our commitment to reservists, with about 20% of the apartments allocated to them.”
